Are We Living In A Socialist Country?

As a Christian and Patriot of these United States, I felt it was my responsibility to make you aware of this speech from 1965 about Socialism (Communism) easing into the United States of America. You may have heard this speech during Government class in High School. The speaker is Ezra Taft Benson, Secretary of Agriculture, from the Eisenhower administration. Pres. Eisenhower wanted Mr. Benson to meet with the Communist leader, Nikita Khruschev, regarding enriching their agriculture. The above recording is part of Mr. Benson's speech after meeting with these communist leaders and what they had to say about our country.

Glenn Beck is a journalist from Fox News Network, which is refreshing our history by presenting this Benson speech. I like to watch Glenn every day at 4 p.m. CST. He's been doing a special every day this past week about Socialism.

I have questions for you today. Is this (Socialism) what we really want? I mean, it's nice to have the feeling that you will be taken care of financially, but there are consequences. Remember, if something sounds too good to be true, more than likely IT IS. I don't know about you, but I feel enslaved enough by having to pay taxes just to find out later that the money was used to develop a "Quiet Zone" in an area in San Diego. Yeah, you heard me. This is one of the MANY (useless) jobs that are suppose to stimulate the economy. What a joke! What would our forefathers say right now to us? After they have worked so hard to provide and ensure us with the freedoms and opportunities, this is how we repay them. By saying that we want the government to take care us and not take on any responsibility for our own actions. I pray God will shake us back to our senses before it's too late. Is it too late? Can I save my beloved country for the sake of my children and their freedoms? We must all stand up and say NO MORE!

lol.. a "quite zone".. i think i'm familiar with those. We use to live by one i think. All of a sudden they had put up all these boards to block one par to the road where we lived. It was the odest thing cause nothing was over there.. i guess nothing had a name and it was some bird that was endangered and they put the boards up which costs millions by the way to protect these birds from the noise of the road. It was so silly. I wanted to honk my horn everytime i drove by it to make sure we were getting our money's worth out of it. lol..

This is Allan, Socialism and Capitalism are probably both great forms in a pure form with no corruption and greed. Just like communism brought down the U.S.S.R., it looks like capitalism is bringing down this civilization one bailout at a time. If we could just have political leaders that worked without their own personal greed in mind, capitalism would have lasted longer.
