Well, Santa Claus has thrown up all over our house. We've got the tree up and decorated, the Nativity is in all of it's glory accented with angel hair & clear mini lights, the Nutcracker will try to survive the clutches of Katie, the twinkle star lights are graciously displayed on the front porch, the little red Cardinal is perched upon the icy pine tree by the door and "Frosty The Snowman" is playing in the background. Katie helped me decorate the tree, while Doug hung the star lights on the porch. I have to say Katie helping me decorate was an experience. If the tree along with the other decorations survive by Christmas Day, I'll be completely amazed. She has to touch every ornament on the tree, she's already pulled down her stocking & holder and has tempted to get a hold of the candles. Ugh! Doug and I have threatened her with the switch, if she disobeys us when it comes to the Christmas stuff. Doug and his Dad were so busy changing out the phone jack & mulching blades that Doug didn't have a lot of time to decorate the yard for Christmas before it began to rain. Hopefully tomorrow after church, we'll be able to put up Frosty, Christmas Tree, Rudolph, Santa's Sleigh, wreaths on the windows and spot lights. Sounds like fun huh!
Last night, I began wrapping some gifts when I realized I'm out of Christmas supplies (boxes, ribbon, gift bags & wrapping paper). So this afternoon, I snuck away to Wal-Mart and picked up a few supplies. It's frustrating standing in the middle of the Christmas aisle wondering what size bags and boxes I need. I guess I'll find out quickly if I got the right thing.
You will be so proud of me. I was able to get away long enough to get a hair cut for the pictures Monday. Hooray! Now, if my hair will just cooperate when I try to fix it Monday morning.
