Classic Southern Pecan Pie

3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup sugar
1 cup light or dark corn syrup
1 tablespoon or margarine butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cup pecans
1 (9") unbaked or frozen deep-dish pie crust

  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees F

  2. Large bowl stir first 5 ingredients until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into pie crust.

  3. Bake 50-55 minutes or until knife inserted 1/2 way between center and edge comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Makes 8 servings.

Note: To use prepared frozen pie crust: use 9" deep dish pie crust. Do not thaw. Preheat oven on cookie sheet. Pour filling into frozen crust; bake on cookie sheet. Don't use insulated cookie sheet.
